Look in your heart

Bismillah-hir-Rahman-Nir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

Be mentally prepared for ingratitude

You will be amazed at the amount of people who think that others should and must be grateful for any good they might have done for them...
They only built themselves and their expectations up for a fall.
When the appreciation and gratefulness is not forthcoming, they feel  let down and miserable.

But why should they?

First of all do not do anything seeking rewards from others. The only rewards worth having are from Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala).

"We feed you seeking Allah’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you."
(Qur'an 76: 9)

And would one  be surprised with ingratitude when one reads this ayaat?

"And when harm touches man, he invokes Us, lying down on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, he passes on his way as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him?"
 (Qur'an 10: 12)
If people can be like this towards the One Who gave them everything why are you so surprised?

Faith

When your Faith is new is a little like the toddler’s first footsteps.
You hold on to the furniture, the hand of the loving parent and you take your first uncertain baby steps.
The more you practice , the more strength and confidence you gain.
You become a confident walker who in time offers his hand in support to others.
Work on your faith, even if your first moves are uncertain and wobbly.
Keep on practising every day.
See the change in the baby steps.
They will become Big Strides in the Right Direction.
Don’t forget to ask....

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
1:2
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

1:5
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
1:6
Guide us to the straight path -
1:7
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
